As we drove
into the
entrance of
Granby
Ranch, we
realized
that life is
too short
not to have
the mountain
retreat we
had dreamed
of. The
valley was
pristine,
calm (as the
12 deer
walked in
front of our
car) and
inviting. We
continued to
drive past
Headwaters
Golf Course
and SolVista
Basin
towards the
free
standing
homes that
we had heard
about, Tall
Timbers. All
it took was
walking
around one
lot on the
ski slope,
at SolVista,
with its
spectacular
views of
Rocky
Mountain
National
Park and
Grand Lake
to realize
that we
could have
the whole
package at
Granby
Ranch. And,
the beauty
of it all
was that it
was only 2
hours from
our front
door in
Castle Rock.
Not being
skiers
ourselves,
we did want
to offer the
sport to our
10 year old
daughter.
After
checking
into
SolVista
Basin, we
felt she
would be
safe, most
importantly
and she
would not
get lost in
the masses!
She could
snowboard,
come home
for lunch,
and then go
back out for
the
afternoon.
While dinner
is cooking,
we can walk
out our
front door
to the slope
and welcome
her home.
All we were
looking for
was a
relaxing
getaway, but
we also have
a sense of
community.
Friendly
neighbors,
who are up
there for
the same
reasons we
are –
relaxation
and family
bonding.
There are
also fun
events and
activities
for
homeowners:
nighttime
skiing with
s’mores at
the bonfire
afterwards,
breakfasts
on the
weekends,
family
sledding,
and live
music and
not to
mention
events on
all the
holidays.
This is just
the winter
offerings!
My husband
is looking
forward to
the spring
and summer
activities
where he can
golf with
our daughter
and we can
all fish on
the Fraser
River. I’m
also looking
forward to
the family
hiking and
taking
advantage of
the
beautiful
vistas while
enjoying a
picnic.
We came here
looking for
relaxation,
but we got
so much
more. It
just made
sense to buy
here. Life
is too short
for us not
to enjoy
it!.......
